Golf clubs tend to come in two separate construction types called blades and perimeter weighted irons that can also be referred to as cast and forged irons. Cast irons have an enclosed space in its construction and nearly all of the club head weight is on the outer part of the head. Forged irons don\’t have any special weight dispersion on the back of the club head and the center of gravity is in the center of the club head. Cast irons tend to work better for beginning golfers while forged irons require more control from skilled golfers.
